"Pick up where you left off"

Is there a feature in Writer like the MS Office feature “pick up where you left off”? It allows the user to click on the additional button and go straight to where they were working when they last saved the document.

Thanks, but please could you
Thanks, but please could you give me a link or name of the feature? I searched the forum (before posting) and didn’t find anything, but then I don’t know what the feature is called in LibreOffice.

No special name
I don’t think that this feature has any special name. It can be referred to as last edited point or last saved place. Normally, Writer should automatically open a document there.

Re: "Pick up where you left off"
To reopen a file at the last editing point one may need to enter a user name and initials in the setup information. Otherwise the application doesn’t know which user is wishing to edit the file – it is not aware that your computer may have only one user.

The "cursor on first page" bug ...
… was experienced starting with V4.3 (alpha) and is not yet (V4.4.2.1 for me) fixed. The bug should, however, only show in 32 bit builds. For Win there are no 64 bit builds.
See http://en.libreofficeforum.org/node/10357 and
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80960
If returning to the last point of editing does not work even if user data are enterd this bug will be the reason, I think.

This should be coming in v4.5. For Win there are no 64 bit builds.
