I’ve a question about formatting non-standard stacked fractions in Writer (“non-standard” meaning fractions not contained in the font set).

Using superscript and subscript formatting options, I know how to make fractions with a diagonal slash:

Is there a way to make stacked fractions — i.e. with a horizontal slash?

Thanks.

formula?
You are probably best inserting a formula object i.e., Insert > Object > Formula…. An entry like {25} over {3} will display as required.

Yes!
Just the ticket, Oweng. Thanks. Lifelong math phobia would have kept me from ever opening the Math Formula app. Am happy to have a use for it.

Do you get any help around here? Seems like you’re tasked with answering everyone’s questions. A message from me to your boss:

Dear LibreBoss, I think Oweng deserves an assistant….unless you’d prefer to give him a raise, a new car, and a week in Bora Bora. That would also be fantastic! Small shows of kindness are always appreciated.

Thanks,

Brooks

Ha! It’s just volunteer service for the LO community and there are several others who likewise volunteer their time (especially in the Calc and Base forums). The site admin is also very helpful. Comments like this make it all worthwhile Smile Like most things in life I won’t be around forever, so I hopefully what I have done on this site and over on AskLO will be appreciated.

Your labors are entirely volunteer?? Oweng, I doff my hat to all of you who volunteer here. I’m a grateful user of L.O., thanks in no small part to the help I’ve received on this forum.

You are greatly appreciated.

B. Smile
