Hello,

Working on an original MS Word document with Times New Roman I can not use the apostrophe. Here is the output: John»s

Please help.

There are several possibilities, one is that Autocorrect replaces the apostrophe with ». Remedy: check your Autocorrect options. Another, less likely, is that your keyboard configuration is wrong. It helps if you tell us what version of Windows(?) you have.

The Autocorrect options advice helped me solve it by unticking both Replace buttons in Localized Options. I am on Linux Mint 17.3 Rosa, but that does nor matter for this problem.

Or perhaps LibreOffice is set to a French Locale?

Perhaps the document carries its formatting AND locale with itself.
