Hi folks, I’m about to go off and learn about writing macros, but thought there may be an easier way.

I need to include HTML in the writing I do which was formerly easy with NoteTab+, but that’s only on Windows.

I used to be able to select text and hit ctrl+space to execute the code shortcut selected in a sidebar.

That would drop say href code around selected text, insert some image code for a clickable image, and so on.

With Libre, the html code is hidden (a link shows as a hyperlink rather than <a href=”), and my CMS does not carry it over.

Is there a nice way I can quickly insert HTML code into my text?

- As an aside, I am also having trouble clearing formatting. I often copy text in from various sources and it looks like a dog’s breakfast. I need to be able to strip out the font, size and any other formatting and the clear formatting pull down isn’t clearing selected text.

Otherwise an alternative program would be great! I tested only a couple of code editors. I don’t need a rich formatting platform as I never use fancy text. A spell checker would go well.
Thanks!
