avvio imac g4

Il mio imac g4 ha un solo problema: quando si avvia si blocca sulla schermata grigia, mela e rotella bloccata.
Di solito per farlo avviare devo farlo ripartire almeno 5 o 6 volte spegnendolo drasticamente dal pulsante start.
Come devo fare?? Una volta partito poi non ha nessun tipo di poblema.

Salve dannata!

Devi avviare il tuo iMac dal DVD di Sistema (con il tasto C all'avvio) e lanciare Utility Disco per Riparare il Disco e per Riparare i Permessi.
Dopodiché lanci Seleziona Disco di Avvio e riavvia.

Reset PRAM l'hai fatto?
Mela+Alt+P+R all'avvio finché non senti 3 volte il suono di avvio, poi dall'Open Firmware Mela+O+F all'avvio scrivi "reset-nvram" e dai invio, "set-defaults" invio ed un "reset-all" invio.

pensando che fosse un problema di software ho reinstallato tiger e aggiornato nuovamente.. ma nulla -persiste...

Potresti postarci il contenuto del system.log a partire dall'ultimo avvio per cercare di capire cos'è che non va. Lo trovi andando in Applicazioni->Utility->Console, poi system.log,
cerca una riga simile a questa:
