Ciao a tutti, questo è il mio primo post sul forum.

Ho bisogno di un parere sul mio ormai vetusto iMac 27" 2011 su cui ho installato negli anni tutte le versioni di iOS.
Uso principalmente il Mac per lavori di foto/grafica ma da un po' è diventato molto lento a fare qualsiasi cosa.

Dal momento in cui lo avvio, fino a quando sono in grado di accedere ad esempio ad internet con Chrome, possono passare anche oltre 10 minuti.
Per questo motivo spesso lo metto in Stop, in modo da poter essere subito operativo il giorno seguente.

Molto spesso, all'avvio, ho dei crash di QuicklookSatellite e dei vari odiosi helper (adobe, ecc).
Spotlight è perennemente in indicizzazione, con un fastidioso rumore dell'attività dell'HD.

Ho EtreCheck in versione freeware. Nel caso, per correggere gli errori, devo comprare una licenza?

Riesci sicuramente a recuperare i programmi, ma ti consiglio di spostare i dati nell'hard disk esterno.

La connessione USB2 ci mette una vita a trasferire moli così grandi di dati

Si, il tuo Mac può supportare High sierra solo con un ssd.

Poi vedremo se ci sono delle porcherie da rimuovere ma con la macchina imballata, tutto è inutile.

Contatta:
Le porcherie da rimuovere ci sono.

Anche molte cose da aggiornare e qualche cosa poco congrua.
Ti consiglio di fare una copia dei soli dati.
Ti sconsiglio di cercare di recuperare i programmi, soprattutto la suite Adobe, corrotta o conflittuale.

Il sistema è malconcio per manovre scorrette o errate e non puoi pensare di copiarlo, clonarlo ecc.
I tuoi bei 16GB di ram appaiono buttati via, neanche bastano per le manovre semplici.


Quindi:
- Adotta un SSD e installa High Sierra da zero, poi recuperi i dati.
- In alternativa, installa Sierra da zero e procedi come sopra.


Per favore, NON postate EtreCheck nelle versioni 4.x.
Come ripetuto incessantemente, NON serve che a poco.
