Dopo Microsoft con Edge, anche Mozilla verso un nuovo browser. Cambierà tutto, anche il motore che c’è alla base: oggi, infatti, Firefox utilizza Gecko ed è proprio Gecko che verrebbe soppiantato da Servo. Tutto, in Servo, è componente: ogni componente ha il proprio compito ed è separata dal resto, in modo da evitare attriti tra componenti che hanno comportamento anomalo e facilitare debugging e risoluzione dei problemi.
Al momento Mozilla conta di rilasciare Servo come browser a sé stante a giugno: sarà disponibile per Android, Firefox OS, Mac, Linux, e Windows.
