Aggiornamenti VMware Fusion

Pronto da un paio di giorni l'update VMware-Fusion-2.0.5-173382-light.dmg.
L’aggiornamento è gratuito per chi ha comprato una versione precedente di Fusion (79 euro).

Le novità riguardano il supporto per Mac OS X Server sui Mac (Xeon 5500 e 3500 -Nehalem); il supporto sperimentale a Snow Leopard e ad Ubuntu 9,04; l'ottimizzazione dell'utilizzo della CPU e numerosi bug risolti.

Una delle applicazioni di virtualizzazione per Mac, VMWare Fusion, arriva stamattina (come promesso dagli sviluppatori) alla terza versione. Massima compatibilità con Snow Leopard e il supporto a Windows 7 con la grafica Aero.

Il programma ha un nuovo assistente di migrazione per importare un’installazione nativa in una immagine virtuale del Mac.
Oltre alle migliorie nel rendimento globale, l’applicazione presenta una cinquantina di funzionalità nuove. Importante anche la compatibilità con OpenGL 2.1 e DirectX 9.0c Shared Model 3 per sfruttare a fondo i videogiochi.

Il prezzo della licenza di VMWare Fusion 3.0 è di 80 dollari, mentre l'aggiornamento dalla versione precedente ne costa appena 30.

si funziona bene, anche con windows 7. l'unico difetto è che è lento nella ripresa di una macchina virtuale sospesa. ad esempio virtual box è velocissimo in questa operazione.

Io ho appena fatto l'aggiornamento dal 2 al 3... ma ho win XP 32... per il momento mi sembra bene! Hanno migliorato anche l'interfaccia grafica.... più funzionale!

ma su gentoo l'abilitazione degli effetti non è così semplice come su ubuntu. vedo se trovo il tempo di tirare su una macchina ubuntu e ti dico.

Aggiorno i prezzi in euro:
VMware Fusion 3 costa 61,95 euro oppure 77,29 euro includendo l'aggiornamento per i prossimi 12 mesi.
Poi correggo la segnalazione dell'update, che ammonta a 39.99 dollari (30,70 euro)
