Hi all

I have a Database developed some time ago in OO. It is currently running in OO 3.2.1 on Linux Mint 10 KDE.

I have installed KO 3.4 on my test machine and transfered the .odb file to this machine. When I try to set up KO Base to use this file when I do a 'Test Connection' I get the following error...

[unixODBC][Driver Manager] Data Source not found,

and no default driver specified.

The file IS there so can anyone assist with this error? And what 'Default Driver' is needed?

Thanks

Re: Problem transfering Base file from OO to LO

Hi, I am wondering about this same thing too. I tried opening my OO Base file in LO Base and it asked me to connect to an existing database instead of opening an existing one. It asked for the type of SQL it used, and I couldn't get past that point because I don't know (it's whatever is default in OO Base).

From what I have read by Googling, the two databases are not compatible. Is this correct?

I use this database daily and this problem is causing me to keep using OO instead of going with LO.

Thanks!
