Can deleting .tmp files trash installed extensions?

I am a moderator at the Comodo forums under the same name.
I am investigating the possibility/likelihood that deleting .tmp files with a cleaner tool can trash multiple extensions in Libre Office. It was also suggested that it might be limited to extensions installed for multiple users. The cleaner tool will not delete .tmp files when they are in use.
Are there cases reported here at the Libre Office forum that indicate that deleting .tmp files can trash the installation of extensions? Or are there sources that indicate that removing .tmp files that are not in use is not a good practice when using Libre Office?
.tmp
files you are referring to. There are two different instances I am aware of:/extensions/bundled/registry/com.sun.star.comp.deployment.configuration.PackageRegistryBackend/
directory of the User Profile. Structure is a directory (10 here under both Linux and Win7) with the name of a random string (starting with a lowercase L) and ending with a “.tmp” extension. Within each directory is a single extension control (XCU) file. I would be reluctant to go removing these.
