I would like to have my text files saved to a more specific area than just "Documents."  I can't seem to do this in "Preferences"; I only get the option for "Documents."

I've done an update on Libre just to be sure but it is up to date.

I was able to do this with Open Office, so it seems strange that I can't find such an option in Libre.

Can anyone help?

Sandra

SAVE options

Thank you for your response, but I had read this same advice somewhere online when first seeking help.  The problem is, I don't have those choices available under "TOOLS"  The closest to it under TOOLS is "Customize", but that is geared toward setting up macros for different actions.  Any ideas??

what platform?
The very bottom entry under the Tools menu should be Options… as shown here. What operating system are you using LO on?

Platform
I'm on a Mac OSX.  Last entry under TOOLS is CUSTOMIZE.  Thanks for adding the picture...at least I know what I'd like to be seeing! :-)

Preferences
Ah. I keep forgetting Mac has different menus (I have a Mac here but do not have access to it right now). The Mac menu is LibreOffice > Preferences as explained here.

Preferences on Mac
I had already checked here.  Under Preferences there is a Load/Save tab, but as far as I can see, it only lets one select Document type.

What are the other tabs? There should (from memory) a LibreOffice tab.

Libre Office/Paths

You are wonderful!  Yes, under LibreOffice I found PATHS, and there was able to edit the Save location! I would NEVER have found this on my own, and all the online help told me to look for things I didn't have!

THANKS so much for sticking with me on this and getting to a solution!
