KDE Integration not working
This is an old problem inherited from OpenOffice - KDE integration is not working, the KDE file picker is not offered on the General Options tab and the default LibreOffice file picker is used in its place.
This had been fixed in certain versions of OpenOffice, certainly it is in the MIB backport of OpenOffice3.2, is it possible to fix it in LibreOffice please?
Andrew
The kde file picker has been dropped also in openoffice 3.3 (it is not a bug - it is a dropped feature).
Unfortunately I am also belonging to the user group which works on many network drives with many sub-folders which are not linked to my home directory for security reasons.
So stay with OpenOffice.org 3.2.1, OOO320m19 (Build:9505), ooo-build 3.2.1.6 on opensuse for example where :
tools->options->general "use openoffice.org dialogs" can be switched off.
Cheers,
Bernhard
Ps.: maybe there will be another feature to create bookmarks for folders in future.
I find it difficult to believe that this facility would be dropped. Can you give me some references, or indicate why such a feature would be deliberately omitted? It makes LibreOffice and OpenOffice pretty much unusable for KDE users
Andrew
To finalize:
This is an ongoing story since 5 years. It was on a request list in 2008 as far as I remember ... but vanished again. Then there was an unusable bookmarks extension ... the the file picker worked again ... now it is off again ... exhausting .. for me a "conditio sine qua non".

KDE Integration works in the version released for my distro (Mandriva) Hooray!!!
Can someone tell me if the basic downloads here have this fixed as well, or must I rely on Mandriva doing the necessary before I update in future?

You can go to https://bugs.freedesktop.org/ and file a bug report so the devs can fix the problem. The more information you can provide the better, sample files and/or screen shots will help.
