Hi,

If I hide grid on calc document, it will show up next time I open the document.
How can I hide it so that it will stay hidden?

Tools – Options – LibreOffice
Tools – Options – LibreOffice Calc – Grid – area: Grid – option: Visible grid

It works for me in my LO 4.4.7 on Win7×64Prof

A bug?
Hi,

Okay, there is somekind of bug, when I change these settings in one calc document:
LO calc > view > Grid Lines: Hide
LO calc > Grid > uncheck visible grid

Hit Ok, save document, close document.
When I open the document, grid is back.

It seems to be a bug?

Grid lines
There are 2 sets of grid lines – cell grid lines (view > grid lines for sheets) and the grid for snapping inserted objects (I think, widely spaced dotted lines: tools > options > Libreoffice calc > grid > snap to grid > visible grid). Which are you trying to control? I can turn both of these on and off with LO 5.1.2.2 running under windows 10 64 bit. Also are you saving after making the changes? (just checking). Let us know.

EDIT by Mod: Avoid using HTML tag-like formatting as it gets mis-interpreted. Post formatting guides in these threads:

Grid lines
Sorry, the formatting didn’t carry over on that posting. Cell grid lines can be controlled with view> grid lines for sheet. The other grid lines are controled with tools> options> Libreoffice calc> grid> snap to grid and visible grid. Hope this makes more sense. Which are you trying to control?

Hi, That solved the
Hi,

That solved the problem:
view> grid lines for sheet

So it wasn’t a bug, it was the ignorance of mine.

Thank you for the help!
