I have an original Excel workbook (XLS) with a matrix worksheet of 2,275 cells, each cell has a Comment.

In Excel I wrote a global (XLA) addin, in VBA, to auto size cell-Comments each time any (active cell) Comment is created, edited or the cell is selected.

LibO “Calc” cell-comment “Position and Size” dialog has an “Adapt” section, but “[ ] Fit width to text” is permanently disabled, irrespective of boolean (Checkbox) values on the “Position and Size” tab/page.
- in Excel cell comments “auto-size” is disabled if the user drags the comment to resize
Q1: is “Adapt” work-in-progress ? Or is there a Calc/global setting I don’t know about

LibO Calc (thankfully) is almost honouring my Excel (custom formatted) cell-comment BUT
- LibO Calc has added a black shadow to bottom and right of each comment/object
- new cell-comments in LibO Calc are tediously slow to format to my preferred format
Q2: Is there a global setting (for Calc) for my preferred cell-comment format ?
- I know Excel does not have a “global” setting for comments, so I assume Calc is the same ?

While LibreOffice is a vast improvement over previous incarnations of OO I need to streamline cell-comment object formatting, without having to use “Positions and Size” dialog

I am grateful for any help, thank you Smile
