(SOLVED) Footnotes/endnotes and page breaks
I can’t find a way to put another page style after the endnotes.
As an example, it would be nice to be able to have:
The text of my masterpiece (page style: default, with header)
Endnotes (style: endnote)
Bibliography (style: default)
Glossary (style: default)
A few pages dedicated to the glory of the author (style: first page, no header)
Perhaps a blank page or two (style: first page, no header)
I don’t want to use footnotes at the bottom of each page, I think they make a book look too technical and put some readers off. They are also ugly, imho.
Perhaps this can be done using footnotes-at-the-end-of-the-section, but I haven’t found how to do this. Whatever I do, I cannot insert a page break at the end of the endnotes/footnotes.
If this isn’t possible in LibreOffice, does anyone know if it can be done in OpenOffice?
Thanks
If a section is only one line then the breakout is to the bottom of the section; if the section is longer, position at top breaks out to top, and position at bottom breaks out to bottom.
I advise always setting a background colour for sections; this helps distinguish them from surrounding text when editing. It can be removed or suppressed for printing. Also helpful to /View /non printing characters.
I think I’ve finally got it fixed now, though I’m not quite sure what I did to get the headers right. I’ll save this one as a template, I won’t remember this next time.
Cheers.
