Caratteristiche
Inserisce, cancella e riorganizza le stringhe, non limitandosi a sovrascriverle.
Lavora con file di grandi dimensioni. Hex Fiend è stato testato su file fino a 118GB.
Non mantiene i file nella memoria, lavora anche con Mac molto vecchi e ram scarsa.
Molto veloce, aprire un file enorme, lo scorre, copia e incolla in un istante.
ha una ricerca rapida integrata.
Può mostrare le differenze tra i file binari, tenendo conto delle inserzioni o delezioni.
Non sovrascrive i dati non interessati e non occupa memoria di swap.
Interpreta i dati come numero intero o in virgola mobile, firmato o non firmato endian, grande o piccola.
È davvero facile da integrare come interprete di dati esadecimali in altre applicazioni in altre app.

È vero... Cercando in giro l'ho trovata integrata in FileSpy come framework.

Allora, ho avuto notizia dell'aggiornamento da tempo.
Ma sul sito non ce n'era traccia.
È fermo tuttora alla 2.1.2 che avevo scaricato ai tempi in cui avevo voluto integrare Disk Utility di Yosemite in El Capitan.
Poi l'avevo utilizzata di nuovo per portarla nella beta di Sierra.
Ora non è più possibile, poi non serve più di tanto, con alcune funzioni reintegrate.
